Filming 2
The coustmes that the charcters had t wear wre very important so that the era was obvious, as the setting was obvious the outfits had to fit as well so that the viewers understand what era they are in.
Filming 1
The first of our scenes were shot in this meeting, this was the first scene that included the modern day couple, the actors were filmed doing normal things that a couple to do. the things that we filmed were watching a film, reading in bed and feeding other etc. we tried to make it look as cute as we possible using the typical cheesy images but without the scenes looking amateur. The first filming went well, the shots we needed were filmed and the things that we wanted were all possible to do. The only thing that we perhaps need to do better is that we didn't think about the transitions when we were filming so in the next filming session we need to discuss as a group what we are going to do with the transitions and if e are going to have to change them because they are not possible to film for our video, this is is going to have to happen in the process of production.
As the cosutmes play a big aprt in the video we have to be take extra attention to what all of our characters are wearing in every scene so we thought that the characters should be wearing things that is easily linked with modren day. The scenes that were used for the bedroom we dressed the characters in lounge wear with a robe, this is showing the type of avtivities the carters are doing. When we changed their activity they changed clothing, we got them to go out for the evening so we got them to wear a smart suit for the boy (Connor Bingham) and for the girl a navy dress ( Rhianna Price) this was a an easy way the audience were able to see a change in activity.
For the lighting we had to make sure the lights were natural as they were things that people do every day o we ahd to make sure that the characters looked natural.
The mis-en-scene was important as we had to have an obvious change in activity so that the audience knew that there was a change in location and activity between the characters Connor and Rhianna.

Planning 8
Today we continued the planning costumes for the scenes that are going to be filmed in the next few weeks. We began to draw all of the storyboard into a picture storyboard, we also looked at the shot types and the places we were going to be filming.
Additional institutional information
Columbia Records is an American record label, owned by Sony Music Entertainment, operating under the Columbia Music Group. It was founded in 1888, evolving from an earlier enterprise, the American Gramophone Company. Columbia is the oldest brand name in pre-recorded sound, being the first record company to release pre recorded tracks. In the very beginning Columbia was a small company that sold Phonograph Cylinders (the first way to be able to record sound) Columbia then recorded it own sounds, ad then eventually after people heard these they began selling their own records and phonographs. To allow them to add even more success to their Company they then involved a number of Opera singers to record sound, this was in 1903.
In 1961, CBS ended its arrangement with Philips Records and formed its own international organisation, CBS Records, in 1962, which released Columbia recordings outside the USA and Canada on the CBS label (until 1964 marketed by Philips in Britain)
It is now part owned by Sony, in 1988, the CBS Records Group, including the Columbia Records unit, was acquired by Sony, which re-christened the parent division in Sony Music Entertainment 1991. Sony then acquired rights for other Columbia trademarks that are outside the country and in other places.

Planning 7
In this meeting we planned many of our priority tasks, such as getting permission to film in Costa Coffee, we phoned the manager and let him know what we were doing and they said that there would be no problems in us filming there. We also carried on storyboarding and doing the shot list as the first filming session was very soon.
In this session we also had a conversation as to what the costumes were going to be and how we were going to allow each scene to look authentic and like it in the right era.

Another inspirational text
The main theme of our video is travelling through eras, and as I sat down on Saturday evening to watch Strictly it was very exciting as they announced that the theme for the celebrities this week was to do dances and travel through the eras. This gave huge ideas to me as I watched not only about outfits, but the style and the personality traits of people that are acting in another era. This provided ideas on how to make the eras we are presenting look as original as possible. The eras that they used on Saturday nights show was from the 20's onwards, the things that the celebrities wore on the show are exaggerated and for reasons like budget there would be know way that we would be able to use dresses like that, the back drops and use of staging also is very exaggerated and also wouldn't be able to use anything like this, on the other hand it does show that you only need small things to make a whole place different. We can take ideas from this and use them to present the same effect on the era.

Planning 5
In this meeting we had a talk about what we wanted in each scene in order to allow us to start a storyboard, this allowed us to be able to think what we wanted in each of the eras to make it look as good as it can and be let us show the era in the best most effective way.
Planning 4
In this planning meeting we talked about our casting and who and how many people we are going to need for every scene. We found two main characters that we know are going to turn up to every filming session, we also had to talk about who we needed in all the other scenes so we thought we better start sending texts to get people to help us out and be in the video, so we wrote out a scene list so that we were able to say when and what we need them for so that they knew what they were doing so that the would then say yes to help.

Planning 3
The planning meeting was altered this week as we decided to change the scenes, we were meant to be storyboarding but this was then taken over by deciding how we were going to show the scenes. We thought that we should show the 40's, rather than a dance, by using a air raid and then use the dance for the 70's, however this gave us another problem, our budget is small and being able to put a dance on and not letting it look amateur would mean that we had to put a real party on in a hall, so we have now started to look at other ways to be able to show this era, we thought of doing a protest, as these were regular happenings in this era.
This would be a way of showing this era without using a lot of money that we might not be able to use.

Planning 2
For planning meeting 2 we had a talk about where we are going to e filming and the people that are going to be in. We had to make sure that the place we were filming had the right setting and we were able to design it so that it fit our genre. The people that are going to be the main characters have to be able o act and be OK to be play in a band without feeling shy, they have to be able to get in the role and fit in with the part. It took a lot of talking about who we find is the right person, our decision;
Connor Bingham- The lead male, the singer in the band and the boy in the relationship.
Rhianna Price- The lead girl, the girl in the relationship
We decided that one of eras is going to be represented by a diner style restaurant.
The other location that is posibly going to be used to show the 40's is the bomb shelter.
