Rihanna - You Da One - Voyeurism

Voyeurism is very apparent through the whole of this video, it is obvious that she is talking about one person and her feelings towards them. She dances sexually throughout the video indicating what she is talking about during the song, this is representing her as someone that isn't shy or worried about what other people think. She is not with anyone in the video so this is a hint that this is a dream rather than the reality. throughout the video she poses in various sexual ways, in one particular she grabs her crutch this a perfect of example of voyeurism as it gives the viewers a sense of pleasure, especially for men. The other particularly stimulating pose that shows pleasure for the audience is the shot of her touching her chest with her hand, this directs the attention of the viewers to her chest, a sexual place where a lot of pleasure is given. As the chest is an instantly thought of as a sexual part of the body. This is as if she wants someone but this is someone in particular that she has feeling for and wants to share her feelings with him. Her feelings of this person are expressed through the whole video but we never see anything happen between Rihanna or anyone else. She is presented as a sexual character, she is aiming to give the viewers pleasure and is seen as a sexual object, she is the main feature in the video and doesn't need any other person or any props to make the video and sexier, the video already allows the viewers sexual scenes. Voyeurism is also presented through the way she is acting, although acting to please mainly male audiences, she goes against the normal connotations of what Voyeurism presents and is actually acting a masculine way, in a way, re interpreting who the audience is aimed at but in a sexualised way, this is not what a normal 'sexual' appeal that is seen in videos.

AS Video eval.

The video we made the whole group were very pleased with. However there is a few things that we could all have done differently to make the video even better. The one thing that we all decided was that we each should have out more input in the ideas, the discussion of ideas wasn't evenly distributed. The other part that we should have changed was the planning of the storyboard, it didn't have enough detail which meant that when it got down to filming the real thing there was the occasional thing that we didn't know how to do certain things or we didn't know which things would be best for the video.

The filming times that the whole group could do was difficult trying to get the whole group round to be able to film the shots this meant that it felt like some people were more involved with other people.
